VS2017 has spent a lot of effort trying to make the debugger more developer friendly for multi-threaded application. Appreciate your effort, Microsoft 🙂
RestSharp is using HttpWebRequest under the hood, which has a default timeout of 100 seconds.
This is a bit surprise because in other web API, e.g. ASP.NET, 0 timeout means max or no timeout, which is not the case for RestSharp, or HttpWebRequest
In my case, there were 4 projects, 2 of which were x86 and 2 were Any CPU. I switch from MixedPlatform to AnyCPU which somehow fixed the issue.
In VS2015 goto:
Tools > Options > Xaml Designer
Choose “Source View” for “Default Document view”
or you can disable it completely by unchecking “Enable XAML Designer”
